The No. 23 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team extended its winning streak to six games Monday afternoon with two victories over UW-Stout in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium.

The Warhawks (16-6 overall, 9-1 WIAC) mashed 33 hits in the two games combined, earning a 10-0 triumph in eight innings in the opener before posting a 19-0 win in the nightcap in seven innings. Both games were called due to run rule.

In Game 1, sophomore shortstop Nick Santoro (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley), senior second baseman Nick Schrader (Cambridge, Wis./Jefferson) and senior third baseman Cal Aldridge (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge), the top three hitters in UW-Whitewater's lineup, combined for eight hits. All three tallied two runs scored and one run batted in.

Sophomore designated hitter Connor Moroder (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) totaled two hits and two RBI, and senior catcher Mike Aiello (Racine, Wis./Horlick), junior centerfielder Alex Doud (Waukesha, Wis./Mukwonago), senior first baseman Connor Schneider (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) and sophomore pinch hitter Cole Vento (Wind Lake, Wis./Brookfield East) each knocked in one run.

Sophomore Westin Muir (St. Charles, Ill./North) allowed only five hits and one walk to the Blue Devils (10-9, 5-7) over eight innings and struck out a career-high 15 batters, tied for the third-most in one game in program history.

Santoro led the game off with a home run, and the Warhawks cruised from there.

In the second game, UW-Whitewater scored in every inning and collected four home runs along the way.

Sophomores Connor Spear (Highland, Ind./Mount Carmel (Ill.)), Evan Sigmund (Oconto Falls, Wis./Oconto Falls) and junior Keith Kutzler (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) combined for a four-hit shutout. Spear (3-0) pitched the first five frames, surrendering only two hits while striking out four. Sigmund and Kutzler each tossed one scoreless relief inning.

Santoro finished 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, three runs scored and two RBI. Junior centerfielder Noah Jensen (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) posted three hits, including a home run, and added three runs scored and five RBI.

Schrader registered two hits, including a solo home run, and Aldridge recorded two hits, including one home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Junior infielder Lucas Price (Spring Green, Wis./River Valley) plated two runs, while Moroder and Doud each knocked in a pair.

Aiello and freshman first baseman Taylor White (Highlands Ranch, Colo./ThunderRidge) plated one run apiece.

The Warhawks are scheduled to return to action Wednesday against Concordia Wisconsin. First pitch of the single game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Miller Stadium.
