The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team suffered an 85-67 defeat at No. 3 ranked UW-Oshkosh Monday night in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest in Oshkosh, Wis.
The Warhawks (14-7 overall, 3-7 WIAC) were held to 36.7 percent shooting in the first half as the Titans jumped out to a 42-29 halftime lead.
UW-Oshkosh (20-1, 10-0) hit eight 3-pointers in the first half and continued its hot shooting in the second, finishing the game shooting 15-of-31 (48.4 percent) from 3-point range while committing only nine turnovers.

Melvin Brown Jr. (Milwaukee, Wis./Vincent) paced UW-Whitewater with 12 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Senior guards

Dalton Menke (Rockford, Ill./Winnebago) and junior forward
Riley Jensen (Milton, Wis./Janesville Craig) posted 10 points apiece.
The Warhawks led 20-19 just past the midway point of the first half after a 3-pointer by Menke with 8:36 on the clock.
From there, the Titans ran off six straight points and 23 of the next 32 to take a 13-point halftime advantage.
UW-Whitewater drew to within 11 at the 17:02 mark following a layup by Jensen, but would get no closer.
UW-Whitewater returns home Wednesday to host UW-Stevens Point for its third game in five days. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Kachel Gymnasium.
