The No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team posted a team score of 185.025 Friday night in a quad meet at Division II Seattle Pacific.
Competing against Seattle Pacific, Division I Air Force and UW-Oshkosh, the Warhawks tallied scores of 47.175 on the floor exercise, 47.525 on vault, 43.550 on uneven bars and 46.775 on the balance beam.

Lewa Evans (Milwaukee, WI/Whitefish Bay) topped her previous season best by four-tenths of a point with a 9.575 on floor, good for a tie for 11th place. Junior
Acacia Fossum (Gladstone, N.D./Richardton-Taylor) finished 15th overall with a 9.450, and freshman
Kaylie Collins (Fort Wright, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) recorded a 9.400 to finish 17th. Senior
Erika Briscoe (Solon, Iowa/Solon) and freshman
Emily North (Oklahoma City, Okla./Moore) tied for 18th at 9.375.
UW-Whitewater enjoyed a second consecutive strong outing on vault. Junior
Lauren Marshall (Winthrop Harbor, Ill./Zion-Benton Township) tied for the highest finish by a Division III gymnast in third with a season-best 9.675, only 25 thousandths of a point shy of first place. Freshman
Abigail Missiaen (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) tied for 11th with a 9.550, her second-highest score of the season. Briscoe and freshman Rachel Lewellan tied for 15th with matching 9.450s, and North registered a 9.400 to tie for 17th.
Sophomore
Blaise Wilson (Thornton, Colo./Legacy) highlighted the Warhawks' showing on bars with a 9.600, her second-highest total of the year and a score good for a tie for ninth place. Senior
Abby Helmke (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) finished 17th with a 9.075, while sophomore
Jessi Rondeau (Norwood Young America, Minn./Central) placed 21st with an 8.650. Senior
Bailey Fitzpatrick (Burlington, Wis./Burlington) totaled an 8.225 to finish 22nd, and freshman
Ashleigh Turek (Newport News, Va./Woodside) placed 23rd with an 8.000.
UW-Whitewater finished the meet on beam and was led by senior
Frankee Hutton-Lau (Shakopee, Minn./Main Street School of Performing Arts), who contributed a 9.650, which tied a season high and was good for 13th. Briscoe tallied a season-best 9.575 good for 14th. Helmke finished 18th with a 9.350, while North placed 19th with a 9.250. Sophomore
Vanessa Olinger (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) finished 22nd at 8.950.
The Warhawks return to action next week Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. as they hosts UW-Oshkosh and UW-Eau Claire for Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Russell Arena.
