The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team hosted UW-River Falls for their second WIAC home game of the season.

The No. 25 Warhawks (12-2, 3-0) swept UW-River Falls (10-10, 0-3) 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 to win their seventh straight match.

In the first set, the Warhawks slowly pulled away from their conference rival to a 16-11 lead late in the first set, and maintained their lead on their way to victory. The Warhawks found themselves down 4-0 early in the second set, but responded with a 4-0 run of their own and later went on a 7-2 run to take a commanding 20-13 lead before claiming their second set on the evening.

After claiming their second set on the evening, the Warhawks charged ahead to a quick 7-0 lead in the third set. The Warhawks found themselves in trouble later in the set as their opponents went on a 9-0 run of their own to tie the match at 19-19, but replied with a 6-1 run to claim the set and the match.
Freshman
Emma Aske (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley)Â totaled a team-high nine kills and added 13 digs. Junior outside hitter
Rachel Butterfield (Milton, Wis./Milton) collected eight kills on a .500 hitting percentage, and junior middle hitter
Ashton Doll (Lancaster, Wis./Lancaster) hit .462 on her way to eight kills.

The Warhawks hit the road Saturday for the Millikin Tournament in Decatur, Ill. They play No. 3 Wittenberg (Ohio) at 12 p.m. and play host Millikin at 2 p.m. to finish the day.
