The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team concludes its regular season non-conference schedule this Saturday, Sept. 15, against Middle Georgia State, a member of the National Club Football Association, at 2 p.m. A pre-game concert featuring American R&B band Kinfolk continues the 2018 Warhawk Concert Series at 12 p.m. in the Perkins Stadium parking lot (Lot 24).

The Warhawks scored touchdowns on two of their first three drives and closed the first half with 10 points in the final 19 seconds of the second quarter in a 24-6 victory over Concordia Moorhead (Minn.) last Saturday at Perkins Stadium. UW-Whitewater averaged 5.6 yards per offensive play and held the Cobbers to 3.4 per play.
The Warhawks moved up two spots to No. 10 in the latest D3football.com Top 25. UW-Whitewater garnered 397 points from poll voters, up from 357 the previous week. The Warhawks were ranked sixth by Street & Smith entering the 2018 season.
Middle Georgia State is coached by Kiwaukee Thomas, who played 117 games in the National Football League for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. He was hired prior to the 2017 season. The Knights claimed an NCFA national championship in 2015.

Saturday's game is the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
NOTABLE
- The Warhawks are 96-4 at Perkins Stadium over the last 13 years, good for a .960 winning percentage. The team has won 27 consecutive regular season home games entering today's contest.
- UW-Whitewater seeks its fifth unbeaten regular season non-conference slate over the last six seasons. Since the start of the 2004 season, the Warhawks are 40-4 in regular season non-conference games, good for a .909 winning percentage. Two of the four losses came in 2017.
- Saturday's game is believed to be the Warhawks' first against an opponent from the state of Georgia.
- UW-Whitewater's first-ever Warhawk Concert Series continues Saturday at 12 p.m. For the first four home games this season, two nationally-touring acts and two regionally-touring acts will entertain fans two hours prior to kickoff in the Perkins Stadium Parking Lot (Lot 24). All fans are invited to attend the concert free of charge. The event is sponsored by UW-Whitewater Intercollegiate Athletics, First Year Experience, Career and Leadership Development, University Housing, University Center an Dining and the 150th Committee.
