The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team traveled to UW-Eau Claire Saturday night for the final of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Presented by Culver's.

The No. 18 Warhawks (24-7) fell in their second meeting of the season with the No. 15 Blugolds 22-25, 20-25, 25-18, 26-28.
UW-Whitewater will learn its NCAA Tournament fate during the NCAA Selection Show, which is scheduled for this Monday, Nov. 5, at 11:30 a.m. on
NCAA.com.
Senior defensive specialist
Brittany Robinson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) passed Kelsey Nobilio (2011-14) to become the program's all time leader in career digs. Nobilio previously held the mark with 2,575 digs. Robinson now has 2,593.

In the first set, the Warhawks kept close with the Blugolds (29-3), but were unable to overtake them and fell 25-22. The Warhawks jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the second set but failed to keep up their momentum and dropped the set 25-20.

The Warhawks claimed momentum back with an 11-2 run in the third to claim an 11-5 advantage. They kept their distance from the Blugolds with a 9-3 run and put them away 25-18. The fourth set was a tight back and forth affair throughout, with the teams tied at 26 late.  The Warhawks held one match point, but fell in the set, 28-26.

Freshman outside hitter
Emma Aske (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) contributed a team-best 21 digs to go along with nine kills. Robinson posted 19 digs.

Erin McNeil (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) led all Warhawks with 20 kills, a career high. Senior middle hitter
Kelley Berk (Cedarburg, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) posted a team-leading five blocks, while junior middle hitter
Ashton Doll (Lancaster, Wis./Lancaster) added three.

Freshmen setters
KellyAnn Sotiros (New Berlin, Wis./West Allis Hale) and
Paige Manssen (Bull Valley, Ill./McHenry West) had 32 and 12 assists, respectively. Sotiros also had a team high three service aces, and both Sotiros and Manssen added six digs.
UW-Whitewater was making its sixth straight appearance in the final of the WIAC Championship.
