Football to Host St. Norbert in NCAA Second Round

The No. 4/5  ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team will continue play in the NCAA Division III Playoffs this Saturday, Nov. 24, at noon against St. Norbert in a second round contest at Perkins Stadium.
 
Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens, and can be purchased in advance online or at the ticket window near the front entrance of the stadium starting at 10 a.m. on game day.
 
The Warhawks (11-0 overall), ranked No. 4 by the American Football Coaches Association and No. 5 by D3football.com, reached the second round with a 67-14 victory over Eureka (Ill.) on Saturday at Perkins Stadium.
 
UW-Whitewater reached the postseason after winning its 36th Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and claiming the league's automatic bid.
 
St. Norbert (10-1) is an automatic qualifier from the Midwest Conference after claiming the league championship. In the first round, the Green Knights downed No. 10/12 Trine (Ind.) a 31-7 road win.
 
The Warhawks own a 19-9-3 advantage in the all-time series against the Green Knights. UW-Whitewater won the most recent meeting between the two teams, a 48-0 triumph in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Playoffs at Perkins Stadium.
 
The winner of Saturday's game will take on the winner of Bethel (Minn.) at North Central (Ill.) in the third round on Saturday, Dec. 1. Game time and location will be announced Nov. 25.
