Football to Host NCAA First Round Saturday Against Eureka

The No. 5 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team begins its quest for a seventh national championship this Saturday, Nov. 17, at 12 p.m. at Perkins Stadium against Eureka (Ill.).
 
Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens, and can be purchase at the ticket window near the front entrance of the stadium starting at 10 a.m. or online at tickets.uww.edu.
 
The Warhawks (10-0 overall), who are ranked fifth in the nation by D3football.com and fourth by the American Football Coaches Association, will make their 12th postseason appearance in the last 14 years. The team earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's automatic bid after claiming the program's league-record 36th conference championship.
 
UW-Whitewater has won the Stagg Bowl national championship game in six of the last 11 years. The program is making its 15th appearance in the NCAA Playoffs all time.
 
Eureka (9-1) earned its second consecutive postseason bid after earning the automatic bid out of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The Red Devils finished 6-1 competing in their first season in the NACC.
 
The winner of Saturday's contest will take on the winner of St. Norbert at No. 12 Trine (Ind.)  in the second round on Saturday, Nov. 24. Game time and location will be announced Nov. 18.
