The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team will hold promotions around two of its matches this week as it closes out the regular season.
The Warhawks will host Senior Night and Spooky Spike Night this Wednesday during the team's match against UW-La Crosse. Fans are invited to dress in their best Halloween costumes and join the team in recognizing seniors
Kelley Berk (Cedarburg, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels),
Elizabeth Niestrom (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South),
Brittany Robinson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) and
Amanda Spera (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) for their career accomplishments.
On Sunday, UW-Whitewater will honor the 30th anniversary of the 1988 Final Four team, the first to advance to the national semifinals in program history, prior to its match against Concordia Wisconsin at 4 p.m. Former coach Kris Russell and several members of that team are expected to be in attendance.
The Warhawks, ranked 20th in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, enter the week with a 21-5 record, including a 5-0 mark in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
