Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) and
Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) each scored multiple goals in winds gusting up to 30 miles an hour as the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team defeated UW-Stout 10-3 Saturday afternoon at Fiskum Field in Whitewater.
The Warhawks, playing into the wind in the first half, scored four goals to take a 4-2 lead at the break.
Carli Nehls (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) put the Warhawks on the board in the 13th minute, scoring on a perfect pass from
Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington).
UW-W took a 2-1 lead six minutes later when
Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) found
Elli Wahlberg (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) for her second goal of the season.

Brodjian made it 3-1 in the 21st minute, scoring on a pass from freshman
Carley Albrecht (Milton, Wis./Milton), and added an unassisted goal in the 24th minute to give the Warhawks a 4-1 lead.

Stout took advantage of a misplayed ball by the Warhawk defense, and scored in the 25th minute to make it 4-2.

The second half, at least the first 20 minutes, belonged to
Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere).

The sophomore forward recorded goals in the 50th, 55th, and 64th minutes to notch her first collegiate hat trick. Boyd leads the team with eight goals this season.

Stout did not relent, scoring a goal on a breakaway in the 66th minute to make it 7-3.

Payton DeLuga (Algonquin, Ill./Dundee Crown) made it 8-3 when she took a free kick from about 45 yards out and the ball took a friendly bounce over the keeper's head into the net.

With less than ten minutes to go,
Madison Rokos (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central) notched her first collegiate goal to make it 9-3, and
Savannah Curtis (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) rounded out the scoring with a goal in the 89th minute to bring the final score to 10-3.

UW-W registered season high in shots, 33, and shots on goal, 20, and remain unbeaten against the Blue Devils in their last eight meetings, boasting a record of 7-0-1.

The last time a Warhawk team scored ten or more goals was on September 9, 2016 vs. Brooklyn.

The Warhawks head into their final week of regular season play 8-8-1 overall and 2-4 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Stout falls to 2-12-1 and 0-6.

Up next, the Warhawks will travel to La Crosse to take on NAIA opponent, Viterbo at 4 p.m. UW-W will then conclude the regular season next Saturday when they host UW-River Falls in a match at 3 p.m.
