The No. 9 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team erased a two-set deficit for the second time in its last three matches Friday night, earning a 23-25, 24-26, 25-20, 25-21, 16-14 victory at UW-Stout in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match in Menomonie, Wis.
The Warhawks (16-3 overall, 5-0 WIAC) remained undefeated in conference play and extended their win streak to nine with the comeback win.

Rachel Butterfield (Milton, Wis./Milton) totaled a career-high 20 kills on a .311 hitting percentage and added three blocks. Junior outside hitter
Amanda Spera (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) registered a career-best 15 kills to go with four blocks, and senior right side hitter
Sydney Racky (Walworth, Wis./Big Foot) posted 14 kills and 19 digs.

Courtney Wagner (Dekalb, Ill./Dekalb) finished with 13 kills and a team-high seven blocks, and junior setter
Elizabeth Niestrom (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) tallied a career-best 67 assists and added 11 digs.

Brittany Robinson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) led the defense with 29 digs, and sophomore defensive specialist
Elizabeth Tworek (Lake Zurich, Ill./Carmel Catholic) and freshman defensive specialist
Abigail Boyden (Malta, Ill./DeKalb) collected 13 and 10 digs, respectively.
Trailing by two sets and tied at 12-12, UW-Whitewater embarked on a 7-1 run to take control of the period on two kills apiece by Butterfield and Wagner.
The Blue Devils (7-16, 2-3) closed to within 22-19, but the Warhawks scored three of the last four points in the set to halve their match deficit to 2-1.
UW-Whitewater jumped out to a 5-1 advantage in the fourth, but UW-Stout scored five of the next six points to level the set, and the two teams went back-and-forth to a 21-21 tie.
The Warhawks closed the frame with four consecutive points, including kills by Butterfield and Wagner, to force a fifth and deciding sets.
With the fifth tied at 8-8, UW-Whitewater rallied for a 6-1 run to set up match point. The Blue Devils fought off five straight match points to level the set at 14-14, but the Warhawks closed out the match with two straight points.
UW-Whitewater heads to Northwestern (Minn.) Saturday for two matches. The first, against No. 7 Northwestern, is slated for 10 a.m. The second match, against St. Mary's (Minn.), is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
