The No. 9 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team won its 10th straight match and made a little history Saturday afternoon in a 2-0 victory over UW-Stout in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams at Fiskum Field.

Brianna Reid (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) passed Emily Gerber (2008-11) for first place in career goals (56) in UW-Whitewater program history. Freshman forward
Kaci Schonert (Racine, Wis./Horlick) was credited with her ninth assist of the year on the play.
The Warhawks (11-1 overall, 1-0 WIAC) opened scoring in the 11th minute as Reid connected with junior midfielder
Marie Lesperance (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha South) for her sixth tally of the year.
UW-Whitewater outshot UW-Stout (2-6-1, 0-1) by a 16-6 margin, including an 8-2 edge in shots on goal.

Sara Klimisch (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Indian Trail High School and Academy) tallied two saves for her 10th win of the season and fifth by shutout.
The Warhawks resume WIAC play this Wednesday against UW-Oshkosh. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Fiskum Field.
