UW-River Falls Men's Basketball Web PageUW-La Crosse Men's Basketball Web Page The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team takes on a pair of teams also unbeaten in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play this week, hosting UW-River Falls Wednesday before traveling to UW-La Crosse Saturday.
Wednesday's game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Kachel Gymnasium.
Saturday's contest in La Crosse has been rescheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
The Warhawks (11-2 overall, 2-0 WIAC) enter the week on an eight-game win streak. The team has made over half its field goal attempts in each of its last seven games and enters the week ranked eighth in the nation in shooting percentage at 50.6 percent.
In The Rankings UW-Whitewater moved up one spot to 14th in the most recent D3hoops.com Men's Top 25. The team garnered 286 points, six more than undefeated New York University and 44 shy of 13th-ranked Christopher Newport (Va.).

Three days later, UW-Whitewater built a large second-half lead and withstood a late rally for a 69-63 triumph over then-No. 19 UW-Stevens Point. White recorded 21 points and 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year to lead the Warhawks, who shot 55.6 percent for the game, including a 68.2 percent clip in the second half. Andre Brown (Kenosha, Wis./Indian Trail) totaled eight of his 11 points in the final 1:36 of regulation to help the team hang on.
This Week UW-River Falls (8-5, 2-0) started league play last week with home wins over UW-Oshkosh by a 76-75 count and UW-Stout by a 73-67 score.
The Falcons rank No. 1 in the WIAC in rebounding entering the week with 39.69 per game, including a league-best 12.15 offensive boards per affair.
Jon Christensen enters Wednesday's game as the conference's leader in scoring (21.7 ppg). He also leads the WIAC and ranks seventh in the nation in 3-point percentage (50.7), and is No. 1 in the conference in made 3-pointers (35). He is also second in the league in rebounding (8.5 rpg), field goal percentage (55.1) and blocks (1.08 bpg).
Garret Pearson is second on the team and fifth in the league in scoring at 14.1 points per contest.
UW-La Crosse (8-5, 2-0) has won five straight games entering the week, including home wins last week against UW-Platteville (88-57) and UW-Eau Claire (71-51) to open WIAC competition.
The Eagles enter the week ranked 19th in the nation in scoring defense. The team is fifth in NCAA Division III in both field goal percentage defense (37.7) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (26.8), and leads the conference in blocks (3.6 per game) and turnovers forced (14.31 per game).
Jared Staege (12.7 ppg) and Devin Yurk (12.5 ppg) lead the offense, while third-leading scorer Ben Meinholz (10.6 ppg) paces the defense with league highs in blocks (15) and steals (34). Meinholz also leads the team with 5.7 rebounds per affair.
