Game time is slated for 1 p.m. in Jackson, Miss.
Saturday's game is the first-ever meeting between the Warhawks and Blazers (0-1), who opened up their season with a 52-23 setback at Millsaps (Miss.) last Saturday.
UW-Whitewater enters the season coming off its ninth Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in the last 10 years and sixth NCAA Division III national title in the last eight years. The Warhawks hold college football's longest current win streak at 32 games.
Saturday's game also marks the first for head coach
Kevin Bullis at the helm of the program. He previously served as a defensive assistant for the last seven years.
Seven starters return on each side of the ball for UW-Whitewater, which also brings back both its specialists from a year ago. Junior quarterback
Chris Nelson (Twin Lakes/Wilmot Union) is slated to make his first career start.
