The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team looks to keep pace in its quest for a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title Saturday as it visits UW-Stevens Point for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Goerke Park's Community Stadium in Stevens Point.

The Warhawks (5-1 overall, 2-1 WIAC), who enter the weekend ranked sixth in the nation by D3football.com and 10th by the American Football Coaches Association, defeated UW-La Crosse 30-12 last week Friday at Perkins Stadium. UW-Whitewater tallied 537 yards of total offense, its second highest output of the season, en route to its 21st straight home win.

The Pointers (3-3, 1-2) held a 10-7 advantage entering the fourth quarter but were unable to hold the lead, falling 21-10 at fifth-ranked UW-Oshkosh. UW-Stevens Point was stopped twice on fourth down in the fourth quarter, including once deep in UW-Oshkosh territory.

Saturday's WIAC showdown can be heard live locally on KOOL 106.5 FM WKCH or online at 940wfaw.com. Live video and live statistics will also be available for the contest.
