The No. 12 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team recorded its ninth straight victory Friday, defeating the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) 25-21, 25-19, 26-24 in a non-conference contest in Oshkosh, Wis.
The Warhawks (19-3 overall, 3-1 WIAC) posted a .138 hitting percentage while holding St. Thomas to .099. UW-Whitewater registered eight blocks as a team.
Junior outside hitter
Lauren Pfeifer (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) tallied eight kills, ten digs and two blocks to lead the Warhawks. Sophomore
Courtney Wagner (Dekalb, Ill./Dekalb) recorded eight kills, two digs and one block.
Junior setter
Staci Hasler (Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Sheboygan Falls) collected 30 assists, two service aces, seven digs, two blocks and four kills. Sophomore
Sydney Racky (Walworth, Wis./Big Foot) contributed nine kills and two digs.
Freshman defensive specialist
Brittany Robinson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) generated a team-high 18 digs. Senior defensive specialist
Jaclyn Krizka (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) had nine.
UW-Whitewater resumes action tomorrow at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational at 10 a.m. against nationally ranked Colorado College. At 12 p.m. they take on Illinois Wesleyan.
