The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's volleyball team will travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin for an NCAA Division III Regional hosted by Carthage College Thursday, November 13-Saturday, November 15. All matches are scheduled to be played at Tarble Arena on the Carthage campus. The Warhawks are making their 23rd consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III tournament.
UW-Whitewater (26-8), ranked 24th according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association, will open regional action against #17 Elmhurst College (30-8) Thursday at 12:30 p.m. The Warhawks captured a share of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and finished second in the league tournament. The Bluejays were 4-3 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and fell to Carthage in the opening round of action in their conference tournament.Â
UW-Whitewater and Elmhurst met earlier this season with the Bluejays winning 3-2 (25-21, 18-25, 24-26, 25-15, 15-12) in Elmhurst. The Warhawks are 11-4 against the Bluejays under head coach
Stacy Boudreau's tutelage including a 1-1 record in the NCAA tournament.Â
Thursday's regional action features three more matches. At 3 p.m., the nation's top-ranked team and defending national champion Calvin (27-3) will face the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (31-7) followed by DePauw (26-10) and the University of Chicago (26-12) at 5:30 p.m. Host Carthage (34-3), ranked 14th, will face Dominican University (Ill.) (24-11) at 8 p.m.
Tickets will be available an hour and a half prior to the first contest. Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. No advance or online ticket purchase options are available.Â
