Box Score The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team defeated UW-Eau Claire, 3-0, Thursday night to advance to its fourth consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship game. This is UW-W's sixth consecutive victory over the Blugolds dating back to October 2009. The Warhawks remain undefeated with a record of 15-0-4 while UW-EC completes their season with an 8-9-3 record.

The Warhawks had the field tilted in their direction the whole game, outshooting the Blugolds 14-7 with a 9-2 edge in shots on goal and a 13-3 advantage in corner kicks.

UW-W threatened early, putting the ball into the corner and drawing a foul in their offensive zone.
Jessica Allemang (Wauwatosa/Wauwatosa West) sent the free kick into the box where
Carina Krausert (Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) was able to head the ball into the net and give UW-W a 1-0 lead twelve minutes into the game.

In the second half,
Sarah Sedlar (Racine, Wis./Racine Case) found
Carly Pottle (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) in a crowded box and Pottle used her left foot to give Whitewater a 2-0 lead at 53:03.
Sierra High (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield Central) added the third goal when she bent the ball into the net off of a corner in the 62nd minute.

Jordan Myers (Aurora, IL/Waubonsie Valley) and the Warhawk defense took care of the rest, not allowing UW-Eau Claire a shot on goal the entire second half. Myers made two saves in net to earn her 13th win of the season and her seventh solo shutout of the year.

UW-W will host UW-Oshkosh in the championship match on Saturday at 6:00 pm at Fiskum Field. The winner of the WIAC tournament receives the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III tournament.
