Box Score 2 The Warhawk women's volleyball team wrapped up the 2013-14 regular season with two wins in the Wheaton College Triangular Saturday afternoon. UW-W opened with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-11) sweep of Augustana and followed with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-19) win over Wheaton.
Whitewater was efficient offensively committing just 16 errors in 165 attempts in the two matches played Saturday. UW-W hit .411 against Augustana including a .591 in the first set of the match.
Brittney Langley (Winnebago, IL/Winnebago) led UW-W against the Vikings with 12 kills hitting a .476.
Alivia Holman (South Beloit, IL/Rockton Hononegah) hit .778 with seven kills in nine attempts with no errors adding five blocks in the match.
Kim Frei (West Bend/West Bend West) was on the assisting end of 33 kills and
Kelsey Nobilio (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) posted fourteen digs to lead Whitewater.
Langley led Whitewater again in the night cap pounding down 15 kills in 24 attempts while committing just one error for an attack percentage of .583. Holman added five assist blocks defensively at the net while Nobilio notched her twenty-second consecutive match with double digit digs with 12. Frei added 34 assists bringing her two match total to 67.
The Warhawks earned the #3 seed in the WIAC Championship to begin next week. UW-Whitewater will host #6 UW-Platteville Tuesday at 7:00 in Kris Russell Volleyball Arena. The winner will travel to Stevens Point for the semifinals and finals Friday and Saturday.
