Box Score The #17 UW-Whitewater women's volleyball team shutdown UW-Stout's offense with 15 total blocks (three solo and 24 assisted) to sweep the Blue Devils 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-17) on the road Friday night. The Warhawks are 17-5 this season and 2-1 in the WIAC. Stout is 12-7 overall and 0-3 in league play.
UW-W's defense held UW-S to a .018 attack percentage while the offense pounded down ten more kills (34-24) than the Blue Devils. Stout totaled two blocks in the match.Â
Ariel Feiertag (Brown Deer/Brown Deer) hit .476 with 11 kills to lead all players in the match. She added one solo and three assist blocks on the defensive side of the net.
Kristen Ruchti (Brodhead/Brodhead) assisted on eight blocks and
Ariel Johnston (Rockford, IL/Guilford) combined with teammates for four and added a solo block in the contest.
Kelsey Nobilio (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) aided the defense with a match high 16 digs and
Kim Frei (West Bend/West Bend West) posted 31 assists.
Whitewater will travel to River Falls to take on the Falcons Saturday at 12:00.Â
