UW-Whitewater will host the Pioneers of UW-Platteville for the annual Homecoming/Hall of Fame game Saturday, November 2 at 1:00 in Perkins Stadium. The game will be a battle of two unbeaten, top ten teams. The Warhawks boast a 7-0 (4-0 WIAC) record and are ranked fifth and sixth nationally. Saturday's game is also the annual George Chryst Memorial Bowl. Two players from each team, one on offense and one defensive, will be honored following the game for their performances. George Chryst was the longtime coach of the Pioneers from 1979 until his sudden death in 1992 at the age of 55. He led UW-Platteville to a 79-60-2 mark and the Pioneers last league title in 1980. Patty Chryst, George's widow, will present the players with their awards at the conclusion of the game.
