Warhawks Remain Perfect in WIAC

Box Score Two quick second half goals propelled the UW-Whitewater women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over UW-Stout Saturday in Menomonie. The Warhawks remain perfect with a record of 5-0-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. UW-W's overall record is 10-0-3. The Blue Devils fall to 5-8-1 overall and 3-2-0 in the WIAC.

Carina Krausert (Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) scored off of a pass from Carly Pottle (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles East) in the 59th minute and again off of a pass from Brianna Reid (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) in the 63rd minute to account for both goals of the game. Krausert doubled her season output for goals and now has four. The assist was the second for Pottle and the fifth for Reid.

Jordan Myers (Aurora, IL/Waubonsie Valley) made five saves for UW-W en route to her sixth solo shutout of the season and 19th of her career. Myers now sits atop the list for career shutouts in UW-W women's soccer history.

UW-W returns to the field on October 16 for a match against Loras which has been dubbed the "Hawk Cup". Loras, the Duhawks, won the match last season and has defeated UW-W in each of the five times they have met. UW-W will look to notch their first win against Loras and take back the Hawk Cup at 5:00 pm at Fiskum Field in Whitewater.
