Box Score

UW-L goalie Sagan Pizzingrilli stopped a shot by Sarah Sedlar (Racine, Wis./Racine Case) at 13:54, the first of Whitewater's 15-6 margin in shots in the game.  But it was the Eagles that got on the board first, with Kirsten Anderson scoring her first goal of the season at 18:03.

Christina Tooren (Hoffman Estates, IL/Hoffman Estates), at 18:51, and Kaitlyn Fritsch (Cottage Grove, Wis./Monona Grove), at 29:48, tested Pizzingrilli again, but were held off the scoreboard until Alyssa Chamberlain (DePere/DePere), assisted by Tooren, got the Warhawks on the scoreboard at 34:57 to knot the score.

Whitewater's Jordan Myers (Aurora, IL/Waubonsie Valley) came up with a save at 39:23, and Pizzingrilli denied Erin Mrazek (Lombard, IL/Glenbard East) at 43:09 to send the teams into halftime 1-1.

Tooren got another assist as Whitewater took the lead off the foot of Jenna Woodson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls), netting a goal at 46:24.

Kelly Denk of La Crosse knotted it again, at 2-2, with a goal at 54:01.

Less than two minutes later, at 55:34, Tooren put in what proved to be the game winner with an assist by Jenna Woodson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls).  But that wasn't the end of the action, as UW-W pressed the action.  Tooren tested Pizzingrilli at 57:06, Natalie Lechner (Waukesha/Catholic Memorial) did at 60:49, and Jenna Woodson (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) put a shot on net at 67:44.  UW-L's Katie Tharp made a bid to tie the game at 76:24, but Myers preserved the lead, and the win.

Whitewater led in corner kicks 6-2, and both teams had one offsides call.

UW-W is 5-3-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  UW-L is 3-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the WIAC.  The Warhawks will host Carroll University at Fiskum Field at 7:00 Tuesday.  Fiskum Field is on the north end of campus.  Parking is adjacent to the field.
