The other half of the first round regional pairing will have host Wheaton (17-3-2), the 2011 NCAA III runner-up, facing Webster University (16-5) Friday at 2:30. The two first round winners will meet at Wheaton in the second round.  The second round will be played Saturday at 5:00.

A total of 64 teams comprise the NCAA III women's soccer tournament field.  Following regional play, sectionals will be November 16-17 or 17-18.  The final four teams will meet at the Blossom Soccer Complex in San Antonio, Texas November 31-December 1.

UW-Whitewater made its first appearance in the NCAA tournament last year.  The Warhawks defeated Aurora University 2-0 in the first round and topped Wartburg College 6-5 in the regional final to advance to the sweet sixteen.  UW-W lost to Wheaton 4-1 in the sectional round.

The Warhawks are coming off their third consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship.  UW-W shared the crown in 2010, but won it outright in 2011 and this fall.  Whitewater earned its NCAA berth by winning the WIAC Tournament and the league's automatic qualification that goes with that title.
