Early in the second half, at 46:37, Ripon's Landon Smith made a bid for the tie, but Mikesell kept the Red Hawks off the board.   Sam Kuchenreuther (Brown Deer/Brown Deer) made a bid to increase the margin for UW-W, but Haefner stopped the shot at 49:37.

Matthew Lange finally pulled the Red Hawks even, with his first goal of the year, at 65:23.

Kevin Kron (Willowbrook, IL/Benet Academy) scored his first goal of the year at 84:11 to provide a bit of breathing room, and end the scoring.
