The UW-Whitewater women's volleyball team, ranked twenty-second in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, fell to Elmhurst College, ranked twenty-fifth, 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-20) in Elmhurst, Illinois Thursday night snapping a seven match Warhawk win streak.

UW-W posted 44 kills in the match but couldn't defend the short game as the Bluejays "tipped" their way past the Warhawks.
Sofia Sanchez (Janesville/Craig) recorded her third straight match with double figure kills with 16 to lead Whitewater.
Kelsey Nobilio (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) and
Alyssa Bauer (Naperville, IL/Central) teamed up in the backcourt to dig up 25 Elmhurst attack attempts.
Heidi Buss (Cedarburg/Cedarburg) dished out 38 assists to Whitewater hitters in the match.
UW-W falls to 15-5 this season as Elmhurst ups its record to 15-4.
The Warhawks will return to Whitewater for a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup Tuesday, October 11 against UW-Platteville at 7:00 p.m. in the Kris Russell Volleyball Arena.
