Kirchoff Boots Game Winner in OT

UW-Whitewater defeated Carroll University 2-1 in overtime Sunday in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  The win, Whitewater's fourth in its last five games, gives the Warhawks a 6-4-1 mark.  Carroll falls to 2-5-1 on the season.

Emily Gerber (DeForest/DeForest), UW-W's all-time leader in goals and points, scored Whitewater's first goal, her team-leading ninth of the year.  Emily Kirchoff put in the game winner, with an assist from Jessica Allemang (Wauwatosa/West), in the 98th minute.  It was Kirchoff's fourth goal of the season, tied for second on the team.  The assist by Allemang is her second of the season.

UW-W is 4-1-1 in its last six matches.  The victory evens Whitewater's road record at 3-3-1.

Whitewater will host Augustana College Tuesday at 7:00 at Fiskum Field on the UW-W campus.  Fiskum Field is west of Perkins Stadium and northwest of Williams Center/Kachel Fieldhouse.  Free parking is adjacent to the field.
