After two 3-0 victories Friday the UW-W women's volleyball team won two more matches, 3-1 each, Saturday to finish the Illinois Wesleyan Barker Chevrolet Classic 4-0. The Warhawks defeated North Central 3-1 (25-20, 14-25, 25-20, 25-16) in their first match Saturday and defeated Illinois Wesleyan 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-23) in their final match of the tournament. UW-W is now 15-4 overall and have won seven straight matches.

The Warhawks pounded down 54 kills in the match against North Central. Leading the way were
Alivia Holman (South Beloit, IL/Rockton Hononegah) (13),
Sofia Sanchez (Janesville/Craig) (13) and
Leanna Lillge (Ixonia/Watertown) (12).
Heidi Buss (Cedarburg/Cedarburg) handed out 40 assists to go along with ten digs.
Kelli Trautmann (Seymour/Little Chute) led the way defensively with 24 digs while Sanchez chipped in 19.
In their second match, UW-W rallied after dropping their first game to the Titans to win 3-1. The Warhawks hit .158 in the first game but were .200 or better in the remaining three. Again it was Buss leading the way with 43 assists and Trautmann with 26 digs. Sanchez and Lillge were again the leaders in the kill category recording 14 and 13 respectively.
Alyssa Bauer (Naperville, IL/Central) helped out defensively notching 17 digs while
Kelsey Nobilio (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) recorded 14.
The Warhawks will travel to Elmhurst on October 6 for their next match beginning at 7:00 pm. UW-W will be home again October 11 for a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match against UW-Platteville at 7:00 pm.
