National Poll:  UW-W is ranked first in the D3football.com poll. Campbellsville is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and CU offers athletic scholarships.
UW-W Head Coach:  Lance Leipold is beginning his fourth year at UW-Whitewater, his only head coaching position.  He is 44-3 (.936) over his first three seasons.  The Warhawks have won Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles all three years (and five in a row) and advanced through the NCAA III playoffs to the Stagg Bowl all three years (and five in a row), winning national titles in 2007 and 2009.

Campbellsville Head Coach: Perry Thomas is entering his third year at Campbellsville University. He is 10-11 (.476) over his first two seasons. The Tigers were named the 20th most improved school among all levels of football. He led the Tigers to their first winning season since 2004 and the team's first victory over rival school Georgetown College since 1997.

About the Tigers: Campbellsville University is located in Campbellsville, Kentucky. It is a private school of 3,006 students which was established in 1906. Their nickname is the Tigers, with the school colors being maroon and white.
Campbellsville received three first-place votes and is projected to share the Mid-South Conference East Division title this year, along with rival Georgetown College. Campbellsville entered the 2010 season coming off its best year since 2003, as they finished in a tie for second-place in the East Division with a 7-4 overall record and a 4-2 Mid-South Conference East record. Campbellsville, tabbed the No. 6 most improved program in the NAIA in 2009, is looking for its first MSC championship since 1997.
The Tigers have two seniors to anchor an offense that starts five sophomores.
The Tigers won their first two games of the season, defeating Kentucky Christian University 34-7 in week one, then defeated Union College 47-36 in week two.
Campbellsville's 33-21 loss at Cumberland University this past Saturday dropped the Tigers from No. 18 to being unranked in the Victory Sports Network poll, while Cumberland moved into the ranking at No. 24. In the NAIA Coaches Poll, released Monday, Campbellsville fell out of the top 25, after being in the “others receiving votes” in the preseason.
The CU offense is averaging 34.0 points per game, a result of a balanced attack that begins with a 3.9 yard average per rush. Similar to UW-W, the Tigers share the load carrying the ball. Mark Terry leads in total yards and averages 4.8 per attempt, Wayne Coffee 5.7, Marcus Ramsey 4.5, and quarterback Robert Hill 4.8. Hill has shared the time behind center. Will Warf, one of the team's three sophomore QB's, is the team's best thrower, completing 57% for 5 touchdowns and no interceptions. Hill and Nathan Cooper, also seeing action, have combined for more interceptions than touchdowns. On a team with a handful of talented backs, wide receiver Stan Warrenhuffman keeps defenses honest with his 20 catches and three touchdowns. The tri-headed QB position has spread the ball around, completing passes to twelve different receivers.
Defensive backs Jeffrey DeMary, two interceptions, and Brandon Brown, 23 tackles, join linebacker Dwight Huston, 23 tackles including five tackles for a loss and one sack, to lead the Tigers on the other side of the ball. CU defenders have limited opponents to 3.1 yards per rush and less than 50% completions.
About Warhawks:  UW-Whitewater will be on the road for the first time in 2010. The Warhawks opened the season with a 35-0 win over Adrian College, followed by last week's 70-7 victory over Dakota State.
It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that the UW-W coaching staff has found a way to use three running backs behind an experienced offensive line that has paved the way for a team average of 7.2 yards per rushing attempt. Booker Stanley (Milwaukee/Whitefish Bay), 10.2 per carry, Levell Coppage (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park), 8.9, and Antwan Anderson (Madison/Madison Memorial), 5.3, have been able to keep their legs fresh. Quarterback Matt Blanchard (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich), an unknown quantity at the start of the season, has been a model of cold efficiency, completing 76% of his passes for five touchdowns without throwing an interception, benefitting from protection that hasn't allowed a sack. Before the season started you wouldn't have expected Aaron Rusch (Hartford/Hartford), the school record holder in every receiving category, to be third on the team. Admittedly it is how you interpret “leader” in stats, but Adam Brandes (Burlington/Catholic Central) has seven catches for three touchdowns and a 29.6 per catch average, David Leaf (Winona, MN/Winona Cotter) has seven receptions, and Rusch has seven but less yardage than Brandes and Leaf.
Admittedly statistics have been thrown out of whack by the first two games, but the Warhawk defense is still giving up just 1.1 yards per rush. Opponents have totaled 72 rushing yards in two games. Linebackers Lane Olson (Racine/Horlick) and Greg Arnold (Big Bend/Mukwonago), along with DB's Matt McCulloch and Jared Kiesow (Horicon/Horicon), are in double figures in tackles after two games. Defensive end Jake Keeser (Fort Atkinson/Fort Atkinson) has four tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
Follow the Warhawks:  The game will be carried by long-time partner WKCH radio, 106.5 FM. WKCH's audio will be streamed from www.uwwsports.com. Campbellsville will provide a link for video and live stats. The video and live stats will be streamed at http://www.campbellsvilletigers.com/f/Live_Game_Coverage.php
