The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team opened up the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schedule with a win over UW-Oshkosh 2-1 at home Wednesday.

The Warhawks scored both of their goals in the second half after trailing 1-0 at halftime. Sophomore forward
Christina Tooren (Hoffman Estates, IL/Hoffman Estates) recorded her third goal of the season scoring twice for the Warahwks in the contest. The first goal was at 66:53 with an assist by
Kristy Talbert (Milwaukee/Whitefish Bay) and the second at 82:26 with an assist by
Jenna Samp (Palatine, IL/Palatine).
UW-Whitewater is 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the WIAC while UW-Oshkosh is 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the WIAC. The Warhawks next match is at home Saturday against UW-Stout at 7pm.
