The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team got the 2010 season off on the right (and left) foot with a 3-0 win over Illinois Wesleyan University Wednesday night at Fiskum Field in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

If the game hadn't started twenty minutes late most of the fans would have missed
Kevin Grimstad (Hartland/Arrowhead)'s goal at 5:33 on Whitewater's second shot of the game. Trevor Swintek got the assist.
That would prove to be the only goal the Warhawk defense needed. UW-W goalkeeper
Matt Mikesell (Waukesha/Kettle Moraine) was protected by the guys in front, facing just five shots from IWU, none of them on goal.
Just as the first half started, UW-W scored quickly again in the second half, just 2:19 into the second period courtesy of
Ryan Boyd (Waunakee/Waunakee). Boyd also ended the scoring, finding the net again at 60:08.
Despite the three goals, the Titan defense was also tight with the shots allowed, with just ten shots by UW-W, seven of those on goal. Whitewater had a 7-1 margin in corner kicks.
The Warhawk men will host Kalamazoo College (MI) at 7:00 Friday, and also play at home versus Clarke College (IA) at 7:00 Sunday.
