The Warhawk men's track and field team took top honors at the Rex Foster Open on Friday in Whitewater. The Warhawks scored 360 points, their highest thus far this outdoor season, to lead the four team field. In second was UW-Parkside (76), third was UW-Madison (45), and fourth was the Milwaukee School of Engineering (10).

Highlights of the meet included
Pete Schroeder (Ripon/Ripon),
Shaun Davis (Edgerton/Edgerton), and
Ben Stringer (Assumption, IL/Central A&M) taking top honors and provisionally qualifying for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III outdoor championships with their performances in the 400 meter hurdles (Schroeder), disc and hammer throws (Davis), and hammer (Stringer). Davis and Stringer topped their provisionally qualifying performances at the Ted Haydon from April 3.
Finishing in the top spot of other events were
CJ Miller (Verona/Verona) in the 100m (11.40),
Tim Prelletz (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge) in the 400m (49.56),
Mathias Werve (Kenosha/Tremper) in the 800m (1:56.25),
Aron Kehoe (Monroe/Monroe) in the 1500m (3:55.52), the 4x100 relay team of Miller, Ronzale Traylor,
Dean Bartel (Wind Lake/Muskego), and
Dave Kuczynski (Brown Deer/Brown Deer) (43.35), the 4x400 relay team of Schroeder, Prelletz,
Joe Bailey (Hartford/Hartford Union), and
Brian Martinezdelacotera (Franklin/Franklin) (3:19.23),
Luke Buchholz (Whitewater/Whitewater) in the high jump (2.00m/6-6.75),
Chris Pendergast (Hartland/Hartland Arrowhead) in the pole vault (4.26m/14-00), and Martinezdelacotera in the javelin (51.40m/168-08).
The Warhawks will compete again on April 16 at the Meet of Champions in Rock Island, Illinois. The meet is a two day event held at Augustana College.
