Sophmores, Tim Prelletz (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge) and Brian Martinezdelacotera (Franklin/Franklin), were named this week's UW-W Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their performances in the Drake Alternative Meet held this past Saturday in Whitewater, WI.

Prelletz earned his honors placing second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.19 seconds. Prelletz's teammate Martinezdelacotera earned his honors by winning the javelin at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative meet with a throw of 53.00m. This throw leaves Martinedelacortera leading in the WIAC in javelin.

The Warhawks next meet will be the Warrior open taking place on May 1 at Winona State in Minnesota.
