Katy Krajnak (Racine/Case) was named UW-Whitewater's player of the week for volleyball. Krajnak led the team in a perfect 4-0 week with 3-0 sweeps of all opponents. She only played one game against Finlandia, where she had two kills, one service ace and a dig in the victory. She hit .480 with 13 kills vs Luther with three blocks and three digs. She hit .611 vs Lakeland with 12 kills on 18 attempts with one error. Against Elmhurst, Krajnak recorded six blocks. eight kills and four digs. For the week, she averaged 3.5 kills per set with a .463 hitting percentage, 1.1 blocks per set.
UW-Whitewater will compete in the WIAC Tournament, hosting the first round versus UW-Stevens Point in Kris Russell Volleyball Arena, Tuesday, November 2nd at 7:00 pm.
