The Warhawks scored three goals in the first half and five in the second before the game was called at the 67:17 mark due to field conditions.

Emily Gerber (DeForest/DeForest) was the only Warhawk to score multiple goals, one in each half, as seven different Warhawks scored in the game.

The first goal was scored just 1:11 into the game by Emily Stocks (McFarland/McFarland) who headed it into the net off of a cross by Christina Tooren (Hoffman Estates, IL/Hoffman Estates).  Just over a minute and a half later Gerber netted her first goal on a penalty kick.  Around ten minutes later the Warhawks scored their final goal of the half when Natalie Johnson (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah) received a pass from Jessica Allemang (Wauwatosa/West) and knocked it in to go up 3-0.

UW-W wasted no time in the second half as Samantha Hoerchner (Germantown/Kettle Moraine Lutheran) scored on a Gerber assists at the 48:14 mark.  Another Gerber goal at 52:09 extended UW-W's lead to 5-0; she was assisted by Stocks.  The sixth goal of the game came courtesy of Laren Nashleanas (Brookfield/East) who banged it in the net on a pass by Hoerchner.  Allemang scored an unassisted goal in the 64th minute to go with her assist and Stacey Schultz (Menomonee Falls/Menomonee Falls) was assisted by Jenna Samp (Palatine, IL/Palatine) in scoring the final goal of the game.

Sam Neely (Oregon/Oregon) was in the net for UW-W and earned the shutout, her second of the season.  She was only forced to make one save on two UW-Superior shots.  The Warhawks outshot the Yellojackets 17-2 in the game.

The Warhawks are off until October 30 when they host UW-La Crosse at 5:00 pm in their final regular season match.  With a win and a UW-Stevens Point loss, the Warhawks can share the 2010 WIAC regular-season title.
