The UW-Whitewater volleyball team, ranked eleventh in the American Volleyball Coaches Association, rolled to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 27-25) win over UW-River Falls Saturday afternoon in Kris Russell Volleyball Arena in Whitewater, WI.

UW-W recorded 50 kills with just nine errors in 109 total attempts in the three set match. Whitewater forced 12 attack errors while holding the Falcons to just 33 kills in the contest. 

Sofia Sanchez (Janesville/Craig) led the Warhawks at the net hitting .600 with 15 kills and zero errors in 25 attempts. Teammate Caitlin Hogan (New London/New London) hit .536 in the match with 18 kills and three misses in 28 total attempts. Christina DeGroot (Kewaskum/Kewaskum) dished out 42 assists and added four service aces. Defensively, Warhawk libero Alyssa Bauer (Naperville, IL/Central) led all players with 11 digs.

Whitewater will host tenth ranked UW-Oshkosh Wednesday, October 6 at 7:00 pm in Kris Russell Arena in Williams Center.
