The UW-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams hosted the UW-Whitewater Invite on Saturday and finished first out of nine teams. The men finished first in six events and had two athletes,
Shaun Davis (Edgerton/Edgerton) and
Joseph Schneider (Wausau/Wausau West), provisionally qualify in two events.

Davis finished third in the weight throw with a distance of 55 feet and 9.75 inches to meet the 2010 NCAA Division III Indoor track and field provisional qualifying standard. Schneider finished second in the shot with a distance of 51 feet and 1.5 inches to also meet provisional qualifying standards.

The Warhawks had thirty other athletes or relay teams finish in the top five of their event.

The Warhawks will travel to Naperville, Illinois for the North Central Triangular on Friday, January 29. The team will be at home again on February 5 when they host the Squig Converse Invitational in the Kachel Fieldhouse.
