#9 UW-W Drops to 9-3 After 3-1 Loss to UW-River Falls

The UW-Whitewater women's volleyball team, ranked ninth according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association top 25 poll, drop to 9-3 overall and 1-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 3-1 (13-25, 25-20, 21-25, 23-25) loss to UW-River Falls.

Sofia Sanchez (Janesville/Craig) led the Warhawks at the net with twelve kills. Caitlin Hogan (New London/New London) and Megan Peterson (Burlington/Burlington) added five and four assist blocks respectively.

Defensively for UW-W, four players had double-digit digs including Kelli Trautmann (Seymour/Little Chute) (14), Alyssa Bauer (Naperville, IL/Central) (12), Alyse Karls (Dane/Lodi) (11), and Keri Klotzbuecher (Clintonville/Clintonville) (10). 

River Falls improves to 3-9 overall and 1-1 in the WIAC.

The Warhawks look to bounce back Wednesday, September 23 at UW-Oshkosh for a match scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
