The Whitewater women's soccer team lost a non conference game to Wartburg College Sunday at Robert W. Fiskum Stadium.

The game was briefly tied until Taylor Vermie netted the first goal for the Knights at 5.02. Kaylee Benning added the second goal assisted by Lindsey Boyke at the 80th minute to help defeat the Warhawks 2-0. 

Whitewater out shot the Knights 13-12 and led in corner kicks 5-2. 

UW-W is 2-3-0.  Whitewater''s next match will be September 19 at Alma College. The next home match for the Warhawks is September 23 at 7 pm with Carol University visiting Fiskum Field.
