The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team scored five goals in the first half of a 7-0 victory over UW-Superior on Saturday at Robert W. Fiskum field. The Warhawks improve to 2-2-0 and the 'Jackets drop to 0-3-0.

The 'Hawks scored their first goal in the seventh minute when a
Stacey Schultz (Menomonee Falls/Menomonee Falls) pass found
Sara Brown (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich) for her first goal of the season. Just eight minutes later the 'Hawks increased their lead to two on a
Emily Gerber (DeForest/DeForest) goal off of a pass by
Elizabeth Orgovan (Brookfield/Brookfield East). Still in the first half, the Warhawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead on
Stephanie DesJardins (Park Ridge, IL/Main South)' second goal of the season, also assisted by Schultz. The fourth goal of the half was by Megan Schlect, assisted by
Melanie Billinghurst (Lake Mills/Lake Mills). Billinghurst got a goal of her own, her second of the season, off a pass by
Emily Stocks (McFarland/McFarland) to finish the scoring in the first half.
Gerber scored her fifth goal of the season and the first of the second half to give the Warhawks a 6-0 lead. Schultz again assisted on the goal giving her three for the match. The final goal of the game was at the 67-minute mark when
Pamela Lisowe (New Holstein/New Holstein) came off the bench to bury one in the net on an assist by Schlecht.
The Warhawks outshot the 'Jackets 26-3 in the match. UW-W was whistled for 8 fouls compared to UW-Superior's 2.

Mary Scanlin (Waunakee/Waunakee) made three saves in the game.
The Warhawks play again on Sunday against Wartburg at 3 pm at Robert W. Fiskum field on the campus of UW-Whitewater.
