UW-W defeated Concordia College (Morehead, MN) 3-1 (25-23, 27-25, 23-25, 25-23) Friday evening at the National Invitational hosted by Washington University in Saint Louis.

Three players registered double figures in kills, led Melissa Zuleger (Little Chute/Little Chute)'s 15. Sofie Sanchez contributed 14 kills and Keri Klotzbuecher (Clintonville/Clintonville) 11. Alyse Karls (Dane/Lodi) had 41 assists, and Sanchez led the squad with 17 digs.

 

UW-Whitewater, now 7-1, is ranked seventeenth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III poll. The Warhawks will face number four Ohio Northern University and host Washington, ranked eighth, in the tournament Saturday.

 

The next home match for UW-W will be September 25, when Illinois Wesleyan University visits Williams Center.
