UW-Whitewater had everything working for them in the first set, gradually increasing their lead throughout the set as they rolled to an easy 25-16 win.

The Storm kept it a little closer in the second set. The Warhawk hitters and blockers stood tall at the net and proved to be too much for Simpson to handle as UW-W started to pull away after a Storm timeout with a three point lead 22-19. Whitewater finished out the set strong winning 25-20.

Simpson jumped out to a quick lead in the third set going up five (12-7) when UW-W called their first timeout. The Warhawks battled back to tie it up at 16 apiece. The Storm scored five of the next eight points to regain the lead 21-18 when UW-W called a second timeout. Whitewater fought but couldn't overcome the deficit and lost the third set 25-21.
