Emily Gerber (DeForest/DeForest) and
Becky Cera (Wauwatosa/Wauwatosa West) broke the UW-W records for goals scored in a season and assists in a season in a 4-3 victory over North Park University on Sunday in Chicago, Illinois. UW-W is now 9-6-1 overall while North Park falls to 5-9. The win is the second in a row for UW-W as they defeated UW-La Crosse on Saturday 3-0.

UW-W fell behind early when Sarah Wilson scored an unassisted goal in the ninth minute.
Gerber then tied the game and the school record for goals in a season (20) with a goal in the seventeenth minute that was assisted by
Becky Cera (Wauwatosa/Wauwatosa West). With the assist, Cera tied the school record for assists in a season (9).
North Park regained the lead in the twenty-fifth minute on a goal by Sarah Hansen.
Gerber again tied the game with a goal in the thirty-seventh minute off of a pass from
Megan Schlecht (Mukwonago/Mukwonago). The goal was Gerber's 21st of the season, a new UW-Whitewater record. The previous record of 20 and was set by Wendy Scott in the 2000 season.
UW-W scored two more goals in the second half to go up 4-2.
Megan Schlecht (Mukwonago/Mukwonago) scored both goals. The first was unassisted and the second was assisted by Cera. With the assist Cera moved into first place all time for assists in a season. The previous record of nine was held by Becky Barr from the 1996 season. Cera is also UW-W's career assists leader with 27.
North Park fought back to tighten the game at 4-3 with a goal in the seventy-seventh minute by Faith Kakembo but was unable to come back and tie the game.
Gerber is two points shy of tying the school record for points in a season (45). This record is also held by Wendy Scott and was accomplished during the 2000 season.
The Warhawks play again on Wednesday when they host Principia College in a match beginning at 5:00 pm. The game marks "Senior Night" as the 'Hawks will honor five seniors:
