The UW-Whitewater Warhawks, ranked 10th in the latest AVCA poll, defeated the 17th ranked UW-Eau Claire Blugolds Friday evening at the Williams Center Volleyball Arena by a score of 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 26-24).

Melissa Zuleger (Little Chute/Little Chute) led the Warhawks to victory with 13 kills.
Alyse Karls (Dane/Lodi) contributed 33 of the Warhawks' 40 assists, while
Keri Klotzbuecher (Clintonville/Clintonville) led the team defensively with 16 digs.
The Warhawks had a total of four service aces, with two coming from
Sofia Sanchez (Janesville/Craig).
The 'Hawks rallied back from a late game deficit to secure a victory on Parent's and Senior Night.
Friday's victory increases Whitewater's record to 20-5 overall and 5-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Blugolds fall to 17-5 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
The next match for the Warhawks will be Saturday, October 17 at noon in the Williams Center Volleyball Arena against UW-Superior.
