The UW-Whitewater women's soccer team traveled to UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday and lost 3-1 at J.J. Keller Field. UW-W falls to 7-6-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference while UW-O improves to 8-4-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the WIAC. The Titans have been on a hot streak as of late winning their last five matches and going 5-0-1 in their last six.

The Titans went up early on two goals by Jessica Erny in the first 25 minutes of the game. Erny scored an unassisted goal in the ninth minute and a goal assisted by Nikki Reed in the 25th minute.
Tacking on one more for UW-O in the 71st minute was Becca Blue. Erny and Caitlin Casey assisted on the goal.
UW-W and WIAC leading scorer
Emily Gerber (DeForest/DeForest) put the 'Hawks on the board in the 73rd minute after she scored off of a pass from
Kayla Miller (Racine/Case). Gerber currently resides in second place in the UW-W record book for goals scored in a season with 17. Wendy Scott scored 20 goals in a Warhawk uniform in the 2000 season.
The Warhawks outshot the Titans 13-11 in the game and had 10 corner kicks to UW-O's one.
The women will travel to La Crosse on Saturday for a 1:00 pm match against UW-La Crosse. UW-W's next home game is October 21 when they host Principia College in a 5:00 pm match. That match will be the final regular season home game for the 'Hawks this season and the team will be honoring the seniors.
