Perry increased his nation-leading mark in the weight throw and inched closer to the school record Saturday at the WIAC Quad Meet at UW-Oshkosh. He placed first out of 19 competitors with a career-best toss of 63-09.00 (19.43 meters), more than two feet longer than the nation's No. 2 result and only 13 inches short of the Warhawks' school record of 64-10.00 (19.76 meters). Perry's performance helped third-ranked UW-Whitewater finish second at the six-team meet, which included four of the nation's top 12 teams.
