Cox batted .500 (5-for-10) and held a .667 on-base percentage last week with only one strikeout at the plate, helping the Warhawks split six WIAC games. She hit one double and scored two runs in each of the team’s games at UW-Platteville, driving in one run and adding one walk in UW-W’s 13-1 triumph in five innings in Game 2. Cox reached base three times with one hit and two walks and picked off a runner defensively in the team’s first game Saturday against UW-River Falls and added one hit and one walk in the second game. In Sunday’s first game against UW-Stout, a 2-0 win, she threw out Korin Hall, the league’s leading base stealer, on a stolen base attempt. In Game 2, Cox smashed a two-run homer and added one walk in the Warhawks’ 8-0 victory in five innings.
