Welsh won vault at her third straight Division III meet Friday night to help the Warhawks to a 191.650-189.250 win against UW-La Crosse at Russell Arena. She upgraded her vault from a tucked Yurchenko 1/1 to a layout Yurchenko full and scored a 9.675 to tie for first place. Welsh has now started her college career with scores of 9.575, 9.625, 9.750, 9.700 and 9.675 on vault, showing incredible consistency in the event with a season average score of 9.665. She also tied for seventh on floor exercise on Friday with a 9.525, her fourth performance above a 9.5 this season, helping UW-Whitewater total a top-15 team score in the event (48.250).
