Sponseller placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley, fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke and sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke on her way to leading the Warhawks with 42 team points on Friday and Saturday at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational. Her performance helped UW-Whitewater finish fourth at the meet. Her time of 2:15.29 in the 200 IM currently ranks third in the WIAC,  her 1:09.91 in the 100 breast is fourth in the conference, and her 2:32.84 in the 200 breast ranks fifth in the league. Sponseller also played key roles for UW-W’s top relay teams, helping the 400-yard freestyle relay team finish fourth, the 800-yard freestyle relay finish fifth and the 400-yard medley relay team place sixth.
