Kuehl was an All-American in two events for the Warhawk men's track and field team during the 2020 indoor season. His season-best time of 1:53.65 in the 800-meter run ranked 16th in the nation, and he was part of the team's All-American distance medley relay, which finished 11th in Division III with a time of 10:05.33. Kuehl was set to participate in both events at the NCAA Indoor Championships before the meet was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in the indoor season, he earned his fourth career all-conference accolade by placing third in the 800 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championship. Kuehl's personal records in the 800 rank among the top 10 all time among both indoor and outdoor performances. A three-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Kuehl is majoring in physical education.
